Dan Pender - President & Sales Manager - Midland, Texas

Responsibilities include supervision of staff, directing the sales and marketing efforts, and assisting in project design, implementation, and follow-up. He has nineteen years of oilfield marketing experience – fourteen of which are in the water control sector.
Mr. Pender began his oil industry career after graduating from Texas Tech University. His first position started in 1980 as Employee Relations Manager for Core Laboratories in Midland, Texas. In 1985, he transferred into the sales department and remained in that position until 1990. Mr. Pender was instrumental in developing new services related to well completions for Core Lab.
Dan left Core Lab and began work for Pfizer Oilfield Products Division as a Technical Sales Representative in Midland, Texas. His sales area covered the southwestern United States and Mexico. He identified a need for injection conformance control and water shut-off in producing wells and created a substantial market for Pfizer’s services.
He has a Masters Degree in Personnel Management and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Texas Tech University. Dan has published papers in industry journals and gives numerous presentations in the U.S. and other countries concerning the use of gels. He is an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

Responsibilities include treatment design, supervision of all treatment execution, supervision of all international treatments and managing the safety and environmental programs for the company. He has over 25 years of oilfield experience, 22 directly related to the water control sector.
John Gould began his oilfield career as a roustabout and workover rig hand during his summers while at Colorado School of Mines and has worked in the oil industry since 1977. After receiving his degree in Petroleum Engineering in 1980, he worked six years for Dowell Schlumberger, including four years with their Enhanced Oil Recovery group in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He also spent two years with Dowell Schlumberger in St. Etienne, France working with the Acidizing and Water Control Development teams as Field Support Group Leader introducing new technologies to the field.
John worked for Pfizer Oilfield Products Division as an Operations Engineer for 7 years. He performed treatments in the continental U.S., Alaska, Canada, China and the Middle East and streamlined Pfizer’s operations to enhance the group’s profitability.
John also holds a Master’s Degree in Mineral Economics from Colorado School of Mines and has published papers in several journals and technical publications. He is a member of SPE and is active in the Permian Basin section.

Mark supervises the implementation of projects throughout North America. He has been a key figure in Gel-Tec since its inception and has developed many innovations in our equipment and in the computerized data acquisition area. He has over 20 years of oilfield experience ranging from field operations to project supervision. He previously worked for Pfizer Oil Field Products and was the Field Supervisor for Terra Tek Core Services.
